Effective for the 6th Annual Summer of Smiles Promotion, July 1 – August 31, 2026.
1. Promotion Overview
TempStars is pleased to offer its 6th Annual Summer of Smiles promotion (the “Promotion”) for July and August 2026. The Promotion is designed to reward dental professionals (“Talent”) and dental offices (“Offices”) for engagement with the TempStars platform during the promotional period, through an entry-based draw mechanic with weekly prizes and a grand prize finale.
The Promotion runs from July 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026, inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). The Grand Prize will be drawn and announced on September 3, 2026.
2. Eligibility
2.1 General Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Promotion, participants must:
- Be a registered TempStars member in good standing at the time of participation and at the time of reward fulfillment;
- Be a resident of Canada or the United States of America;
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- Have a TempStars account that is not currently under restrictions; and
- Earn one or more eligible entries during the Promotional Period as defined in these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Talent Eligibility
All registered dental professionals (hygienists and dental assistants) with an Active, Pro, or Elite account status are eligible to participate in the Talent track of the Promotion.
2.3 Office Eligibility
All registered dental office accounts — including new, active, and reactivated offices — are eligible to participate in the Office track of the Promotion. This includes offices located in all active TempStars markets in Canada and the United States.
Accounts flagged for fraudulent activity, under administrative review, or otherwise in violation of TempStars’ Terms of Service are not eligible.
3. Mechanic Overview
The Promotion uses an entry-based draw mechanic. Eligible participants earn “entries” by performing specific behaviours on the TempStars platform during the Promotional Period (each, an “Entry”). At the end of each promotional week, TempStars conducts a random draw from the pool of eligible entries to select weekly winners. All entries accumulated during the Promotional Period also remain eligible for the Grand Prize draw on September 3, 2026.
4. Talent Entry Structure
Eligible Talent will earn entries as follows:
- Complete a temping shift: 1 entry per shift.
- Pick up a same-day or less than 24-hour rescue shift: 3 entries per shift.
- Pick up a Saturday shift: 2 entries per shift.
- Post a Picture or Video before, during, or after your temping shift and tag @TempStars on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok: 2 entries per qualifying post, maximum five (5) such posts during the Promotional Period.
- Share and tag a TempStars post to your Instagram or Facebook Stories: 2 entries per qualifying share, maximum five (5) such shares during the Promotional Period.
- Refer a friend who registers with TempStars and completes their first shift: 10 entries per qualifying referral.
5. Office Entry Structure
Eligible Offices will earn entries as follows:
- Post a shift to the TempStars platform: 1 entry per shift posted.
- Complete a shift: 2 entries per shift completed.
- Post a Saturday shift: 2 entries per Saturday shift posted.
- Post a shift fourteen (14) or more days in advance of the start date: 2 entries per qualifying post.
- Complete the first shift booked after a continuous dormancy period of six (6) or more months: 10 entries.
- Refer a dental office that registers with TempStars and completes its first shift during the Promotional Period: 15 entries per qualifying referral.
- Complete a calendar month with no shift cancellations and at least four (4) completed shifts: 5 entries per qualifying month.
6. Entry Tracking & Verification
6.1 Automated Tracking
The following entries are tracked automatically from TempStars production records: shift completion, same-day/rescue pickup, Saturday shifts, shift postings, advance posting, first shift after dormancy, and cancellation-free months. These entries are credited based on data captured in the TempStars system and require no action from the participant beyond completing the qualifying behaviour.
6.2 Referral Tracking
Referrals are tracked using each member’s unique referral link and registration source attribution. A referral counts only after the referred party (i) registers with TempStars during or before the Promotional Period and (ii) completes their first qualifying activity (first completed shift for Talent referrals; first completed shift for Office referrals) during the Promotional Period. TempStars reserves the right to spot-check and disqualify referrals that appear to be of bad faith or that fail to result in genuine platform engagement.
6.3 Social Media Entries
Entries earned through social media activity (tagged shift posts and TempStars story shares) require manual verification. To submit a social entry, send the post link or screenshot to summerofsmiles@tempstars.com with your TempStars account email. Submissions must be received no later than September 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Posts must be public (not private or friends-only) at the time of submission and must clearly tag @TempStars. Duplicate submissions, private accounts, or unverifiable claims will be excluded.
7. Weekly Draws & Cadence
7.1 Weekly Draw Cycle
Each promotional week runs from Wednesday at 12:00 AM Eastern through the following Tuesday at 11:59 PM Eastern. Entries earned within that window are eligible for that week’s draw. The draw is conducted on Wednesday morning following each week’s close.
7.2 Draw Schedule
There will be eight (8) weekly draws over the course of the Promotional Period (July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20, and August 27, 2026). One Talent winner and one Office winner are drawn each week.
7.3 Grand Prize Draw
All entries earned during the entire Promotional Period are also eligible for the Grand Prize draw, conducted on September 3, 2026. Entries that won a weekly prize remain in the pool for the Grand Prize draw. There will be one Talent Grand Prize winner and one Office Grand Prize winner.
8. Prizes
8.1 Talent Weekly Prizes (8 total)
- Four (4) weeks: $100 Amazon gift card.
- Two (2) weeks: TempStars SmileBox — curated package including TempStars-branded merchandise and partner products.
- Two (2) weeks: TempStars-branded scrub cap.
8.2 Office Weekly Prizes (8 total)
- Four (4) weeks: One (1) complimentary TempStars placement fee credit.
- Two (2) weeks: Team lunch (up to $200 value).
- Two (2) weeks: TempStars gift basket.
8.3 Grand Prize — Talent
- $800 gift card (Amazon or equivalent retailer at TempStars’ discretion).
- Full first-edition TempStars-branded scrubs uniform.
- Premium TempStars swag bundle.
8.4 Grand Prize — Office
- Team lunch every quarter for one (1) year (approximately $1,000 value).
- Five (5) complimentary TempStars placement fee credits.
- Featured office spotlight on TempStars social channels and the TempStars founder LinkedIn.
9. Geographic Scope
The Promotion applies to all TempStars markets in Canada and the United States.
TempStars acknowledges that shift availability varies by market. In markets with limited shift availability (particularly newer U.S. markets), some participants may find it more difficult to accumulate entries based on shift completion alone. Earned entries from non-shift activities (referrals) remain fully available across all markets.
10. Winner Selection & Notification
10.1 Random Selection
Winners are selected by a random weighted draw, where each entry equals one chance in the draw. There is no maximum entry cap per participant beyond the per-behaviour caps specified in Sections 4 and 5. Draws are conducted by TempStars staff using internal tooling. Results are recorded and auditable.
10.2 Notification
Winners are notified by email to the address associated with their TempStars account, with a follow-up notification through the TempStars in-app messaging system. Winners have seven (7) days from the date of notification to claim their prize by responding to the notification and confirming their delivery details. Unclaimed prizes may be redrawn at TempStars’ sole discretion.
10.3 Draw Irregularities
In the unlikely event of a draw irregularity, TempStars’ operations team will re-run the affected draw using the same entry pool and method. Determinations regarding draw integrity are final.
11. Reward Fulfillment
11.1 Gift Cards
Gift card prizes (weekly $100 cards and $800 Grand Prize gift card) will be sent via the TempStars Amazon gift card distribution system or equivalent provider within thirty (30) days following winner notification and confirmation, sent to the email address provided by the winner.
11.2 Physical Prizes
Physical prizes (SmileBox, branded scrubs, gift basket, swag bundle) will be shipped within thirty (30) days following winner notification, to the delivery address provided by the winner. TempStars covers standard shipping.
11.3 Service-Based Prizes
Team lunches, placement fee credits, and the quarterly lunch package (Office Grand Prize) will be coordinated directly between the winner and TempStars operations. Placement fee credits are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be combined with other promotional offers unless expressly permitted by TempStars. The quarterly lunch package will be coordinated as four (4) lunches scheduled at the office’s convenience within a twelve (12) month period beginning September 2026.
11.4 Cash Equivalents
If a winner is unable to accept a non-monetary prize, TempStars may, at its sole discretion, offer a cash-equivalent payment via Stripe Express within thirty (30) days. Cash equivalent values are determined by TempStars and may be less than the stated retail value of the prize.
11.5 Tax Treatment
Prizes valued above local statutory reporting thresholds may be reported to relevant tax authorities. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes received.
12. Publicity and Social Media
By participating in this Promotion, Talent and Offices acknowledge that TempStars may celebrate the results of the Promotion on its social media channels and marketing materials. TempStars may publicly name winners (first name and last initial, market location) in announcements following each draw, unless the winner opts out by notifying TempStars support within seven (7) days of notification.
Any participant who wishes to be more substantively featured in TempStars’ promotional content (including full names, photos, testimonials, or extended social posts) must provide express written authorization to TempStars. All individuals captured in any submitted or used images must separately consent to the use of their likeness.
13. General Conditions
- TempStars reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and entries prior to issuing rewards.
- TempStars reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant who is found to have tampered with the Promotion, violated these Terms and Conditions, or engaged in fraudulent or unsportsmanlike conduct.
- TempStars reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time if circumstances arise that compromise the integrity or fairness of the Promotion, subject to applicable law. In the event of cancellation, TempStars will fulfill rewards earned up to the date of cancellation.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where a participant resides in a jurisdiction that requires the application of local laws.
- By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by TempStars’ general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.
- TempStars’ decisions with respect to all aspects of the Promotion, including eligibility determinations, entry tracking, winner selection, and reward fulfillment, are final and binding.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TempStars, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, even if the Released Parties have been advised of the possibility of such damages, resulting from:
- your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Promotion;
- any conduct or content of any third party related to the Promotion;
- any goods, services, or information obtained through the Promotion; or
- unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
In no event shall the aggregate liability of the Released Parties exceed the greater of one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100) or the amount you paid TempStars, if any, in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations apply to any theory of liability, whether based on warranty, contract, statute, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, and whether or not the Released Parties have been informed of the possibility of any such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed its essential purpose.
