We are seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a part-time opportunity ideal for a compassionate clinician who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene instruction. You will perform and document periodontal charting, take and interpret dental radiographs within your scope of practice, and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation. Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, periodontal health, nutrition, and preventive care will be a key part of your day-to-day responsibilities. You will identify oral health concerns and communicate findings to the dentist, while consistently adhering to infection prevention and control protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Collaboration is at the heart of our practice — you will work closely with dentists, dental assistants, reception staff, and other team members to ensure a seamless patient experience. Staying current with dental hygiene standards, regulations, and best practices is also expected.
To be considered, you must hold a diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution and maintain active registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO). Current CPR/BLS certification is required. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is essential. Experience with dental practice management software is considered an asset.
