We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused individual who takes pride in providing excellent clinical support, creating positive patient experiences, and contributing to a welcoming and collaborative dental office.
As a Level II Dental Assistant at Midland Smile Solutions, you will play an important role in supporting our dental team and ensuring patients receive exceptional care in a comfortable and professional environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during a variety of procedures — including restorative and preventive treatments — while preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments. You will perform chairside assisting, anticipate the needs of the dentist, obtain and process dental radiographs in accordance with applicable regulations, and follow all infection prevention, sterilization, and office safety protocols. Additional duties include providing patients with clear instructions and compassionate support before, during, and after treatment, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with both administrative and clinical team members to support efficient scheduling, patient flow, and an outstanding overall patient experience.
Our ideal candidate holds a graduate diploma from an accredited Level II Dental Assisting program and maintains current registration or certification with the appropriate regulatory body in Ontario. Current CPR and First Aid certification is required. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a thorough knowledge of infection prevention and control standards. We are looking for someone who is warm, approachable, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a busy clinical environment — someone who takes initiative, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and is genuinely committed to patient care. A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional development are qualities we truly value. Previous dental assisting experience is considered an asset.
