Dentistry on Gloucester is a modern, patient-focused dental office located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and reliable Dental Administrative/Receptionist to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, greeting patients warmly and professionally while managing the day-to-day flow of the front desk. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries, as well as scheduling, confirming, and managing appointments. You will coordinate treatment schedules and follow-ups, process payments, and provide accurate billing information to patients. A key part of the role involves submitting and following up on dental insurance claims and predeterminations, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting patients with insurance-related questions. Additional duties include maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, managing recalls and patient reactivation, communicating treatment plans and financial information clearly, and collaborating effectively with dentists, hygienists, and team members. You will also help maintain an organized, welcoming reception area and assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have previous dental administrative or reception experience, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology, insurance processes, and dental billing. Experience with Open Dental software is considered a strong asset. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and a professional, patient-focused attitude. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, along with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, will set you up for success in this role.
