We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional patient care. This dynamic role encompasses a broad range of clinical and administrative responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional. In this position, you will provide chairside patient care, take diagnostic dental x-rays, perform coronal polishing, apply fluoride and sealants, and assist with restorative and surgical procedures. You will play a key role in preparing patients for treatment and clearly explaining procedures to help ease any anxiety, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Chairside Assisting: Passing instruments and materials to the dentist efficiently during procedures to support seamless treatment delivery. Radiography: Capturing and labeling high-quality dental x-rays, as well as performing intraoral scanning. Preventative Services: Delivering clinical duties such as coronal polishing and sealant application. Infection Control: Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clean, organized operatories. Please note that our practice has a dedicated full-time sterilization technician on staff. Administrative Tasks: Managing patient records and supporting appointment scheduling to keep the practice running smoothly. Appliance Care: Trimming and polishing appliances fabricated within the office. To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a valid provincial dental assisting certificate and current CPR certification. Strong communication skills are essential, as building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with the dental team are central to success in this position. A team-oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized operatory are equally important.
