Dental Hygienist

Located in Milton, ON, this is a wonderful opportunity to join a modern, patient-focused dental practice dedicated to delivering top-tier oral healthcare in a warm and collaborative environment. The practice embraces cutting-edge technology, including Akitu One — a state-of-the-art cloud-based practice management system — to minimize paper clutter and keep the team focused on clinical excellence. This permanent position is available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with a competitive hourly wage of $45–$55, depending on experience. We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive dental hygiene care, educate patients on oral health, and maintain accurate, paperless medical records. Experience with Akitu One is highly desirable; however, we are happy to train a tech-savvy professional who is a quick learner. In this role, you will provide exceptional scaling, root planing, oral prophylaxis, and periodontal therapies, while conducting thorough oral cancer screenings, periodontal assessments, and high-quality digital radiographs. You will collaborate with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans, maintain meticulous electronic patient charts, and complete AI Clinical Notes using Akitu One. Patient education is a key component of this role, including guiding patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment home care to support long-term dental health. Strict adherence to provincial infection control and sterilization guidelines is also expected. To be considered, candidates must hold valid registration and licensure in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body, along with current CPR/BLS certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, a patient-first demeanor, and excellent time-management abilities are essential. Previous experience with Akitu One is a strong asset, though proficiency with similar cloud-based platforms such as Dentrix or Tracker will be considered. Experience with GBT Airflow is an additional asset, and preference will be given to candidates residing closer to the clinic location.
