Certified Dental Assistant Level II

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, skilled and experienced Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use. • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth operation of the practice. • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients when required. Skills • Proficient in dental assisting techniques and practices with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Level II. • Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix is required. • Knowledge of orthodontics and experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
