Temping is a wonderful way to break out of a career slump. When the office and patients became so familiar, and the job too comfortable— I knew I had to make a change without letting go of the security of my regular shifts. Temping forced me to be on my toes from the moment I entered a new office. Every operatory, every steri-centre, every team was a novelty. Learning to do the same old things in a new or different way, new environment, new faces — kept the job feeling fresh again. Every shift was a different adventure. I broke out of the rut, and I am enjoying every minute of it.
